Jayne Darling will be performing as part of Alford 1940s Weekend event, which is scheduled to take place on the 15th – 16th of August 2020.
These dates were chosen to help commemorate the 75th anniversary of VJ day which is on the 15th. This event is looking to include re-enactors, classic cars, entertainment and the whole town to show the home front and further afield.
We would love to see all the shops, groups and homes of Alford to get involved. So, if you own a military or classic vehicle, military uniform or even bunting, we would love for you to get in contact. Also, if you know anyone who can help too, please ask them to contact us through our email which is alford1940s@mail.com. Thank you.
