🇬🇧 Looking forward to heading to the National Tramway Museum this weekend for their fantastic 1940s event! 🇬🇧. This will be (I think) my 11th year at the Museum (give or take missing years and Covid) however my very first visit would have been circa 1978 / 1979.If you love vintage music, wartime history, military vehicles, classic transport and a proper day out, this one is well worth a visit. 🚋🎶. This is very much a family / educational event with loads going on.Kev Mack and I will be performing throughout the day, with appearances on the Bandstand at:🎤 12:15pm🎤 2:45pmAnd we'll also be leading some wartime singalongs in the Red Lion Pub at:🍻 10:30am🍻 1:15pmWe'll then be joining all of the day's performers for the grand finale on the Bandstand at:🎶 🇬🇧 4:00pm 🇬🇧 🎶The National Tramway Museum is home to the UK's largest collection of historic trams, with vehicles dating back over 150 years. 🚂 Tomorrow's the day! 🇬🇧Tomorrow I'll be at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's Back to the 40s Weekend in Wirksworth.The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway @wyvernrail @vallances_coaches_limited My set times are: 11:0012:00The railway will be full of steam trains, military vehicles, living history displays and music throughout the day.One of the vehicles visitors can see is a Diamond T tank transporter. Another lovely busy Fri / Sat / Sun in Jayne's World which included:🎤 A summer show at April Park Care Home in Sheffield, which conveniently meant I got to see Twin 2 at the same time.🍽 Taking Twin 2 (AKA Isobel) out for lunch.🛍 A quick mooch around Sheffield city centre, where I spotted some excellent Toy Story merchandise in Primark that definitely didn't need to come home with me.🐻 Taking a couple of oars to a Bear. As you do.🚗 Returning a rogue banner to one-third of The LahDiDahs🐴 Delivering some horses for Woody. Again, a perfectly normal sentence in my line of work.💍 Lunch at my sister's wedding venue (just 3 weeks to go!) and a discussion about the music. Queen: no. Indie: no. Mr Brightside: absolutely not.🎶 A 50s/60s show at Copt Oak Memorial Hall on Saturday evening.🪩 Sunday was rounded off with a couple of children's discos.Some people spend their weekends relaxing. I spend mine transporting random props, singing songs from seventy years ago and discussing wedding playlists.Wouldn't have it any other way.@thelahdidahs ... See MoreSee Less
