2 years coming to fruition but I finally did it – I completed my Diploma in Music Theatre Performance and can now use the letters DipLCM after my name should I so wish!

What a weekend! 🚂🇬🇧🎶Wow! another fantastic Great Central Railway 1940s Weekend and I'm absolutely exhausted... but in the best possible way! 😄For two days, the railway was packed with thousands of visitors, military vehicles, re-enactors, vintage traders, live entertainment and, of course, plenty of steam trains. There's something quite special about stepping onto a station platform and seeing steam drifting through the air while hearing the sound of a locomotive approaching in the distance. 🚂The Great Central Railway is unique too. It's the UK's only double-track heritage railway, preserving a section of railway that looks remarkably similar to how Britain's main lines appeared during the 1940s. Walking through the stations during the event really does feel like stepping into another era.I spent the weekend singing for some wonderful audiences. There were familiar faces from previous events, people dancing along, joining in with the songs and plenty of requests coming my way throughout the day. 🎤💃As always, one of my favourite parts of these weekends is chatting to visitors between sets. I've heard stories from people whose parents served during the war, railway enthusiasts who can identify a locomotive from half a mile away, and visitors who've travelled across the country just to be there.A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to listen, sing along, say hello or take a photo. And of course, thank you to all the organisers, volunteers, railway staff and fellow performers who make these events happen.
