🎶🚂 I’m very pleased to be returning to the Great Central Railway for their much-loved 1940s Weekend .Great Central Railway Great Central Railway The railway runs through several beautifully preserved stations in Leicestershire and during the event the whole line comes alive with music, reenactors, steam engines and period displays.There’s something rather special about hearing wartime songs beside a steam locomotive while passengers arrive in 1940s dress carrying suitcases and ration books. 🚂🎤This year’s event will include:✨ Live entertainment across multiple stations✨ Wartime firefighting demonstrations✨ Merchant Navy reenactments✨ Vintage buses running between stations✨ Evening dances with live music✨ Trader village at Quorn✨ Steam trains running throughout the weekendI’ll be performing at:🎤 Loughborough Central – Saturday 30th May🎤 Quorn Marquee – Sunday 31st MayHope to see some familiar faces there! Had a fantastic day performing at Denny Abbey & the Farmland Museum today 🎤☀️If you’ve never visited, it’s well worth a trip. The site dates back nearly 900 years and is packed with history, from the medieval abbey buildings to the beautifully preserved farming exhibits 🚜🌾 There was loads going on throughout the day and plenty for families to explore.A huge thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Yesterday I had the pleasure of singing at the grand opening of Tealwood Grange in Waddington, Lincolnshire 🎤✨. The brief was florals!Tealwood Grange Part of the Crystal Care Collection, the brand new 66-bed care home officially opens its doors in June 2026. They welcomed almost 300 guests throughout the day including future residents, families, local dignitaries and members of the local community.It was a lovely atmosphere from the moment I arrived. There were canapés being served, a saxophonist playing outside in the sunshine, activities taking place around the home and even face painting for visiting families 🎷☀️I performed between 11am and 3pm with a mixture of vintage songs throughout the afternoon — and it was really nice seeing guests wandering through the home with a glass of fizz while joining in with the music.Tealwood Grange is based on Station Road in Waddington, just outside Lincoln, close to Lakeside Nature Reserve and surrounded by some beautiful countryside walks.
