Terms and Conditions
  • Unless stated above our payment terms are strictly cash on the day or via bank transfer within 30 days of the date of the performance. An invoice will be raised on receipt of this booking form. On the occasion that payment is not made within the agreed time the invoice total will be subject to Statutory Interest Rates and legal action may be taken to recover the fee through the Actors’ Union Equity it will also jeopardise any future bookings with us.
  • A minimum space of 5ft x 5ft is required plus a small TABLE, the act MUST also be positioned by a power socket. Please ensure that the entertainment area is clear

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation may only take place by mutual consent and any such cancellation must be confirmed in writing and acknowledged by Jayne Darling of Get Happy Entertainment. 
  • Cancellation of this contract shall be as follows (minus any deposit that may have been paid if applicable):
    • More than 30 days from the performance date; no fee payable
    • Between 22 – 30 days from performance date; 25% of the remaining fee.
    • Between 15 – 21 days from the performance date; 50% of the remaining fee.
    • Between 8 – 14 days from the performance date; 75% of the remaining fee.
    • Between 1 – 7 days from the performance date; the full remaining fee payable.
  • This contract reflecting the terms and conditions as verbally agreed shall be deemed accepted only when either:
    • It is signed and returned in 7 days.
    • It is not exchanged within the prescribed 7 days and no written objection has been made within this period
  • Exceptional circumstances such as force majeure, death or sickness in the venue the invoice may be waivered but this is at the Act’s discretion. If circumstances require a cancellation then the option of rebooking is available within 30 days of the original booking date.  The booker may also be liable to pay the Act’s travel expenses if the cancellation occurs once the Act has already arrived at the venue.
  • If the Act is unable to perform due to any reason we will try and find a satisfactory solution either with another entertainer or rescheduling. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.
  • Bookings are not processed and confirmed until the form has been received and has been acknowledged. Your booking will be confirmed by email.  If you do not receive acknowledgement of the booking please contact us.
  • To help us as much as possible please ensure we can park as close as possible to the home/ venue or have a parking space reserved to unload as some equipment, especially speakers, is heavy.
  • Your entertainer will arrive at the home 15 minutes before the performance time
  • Please be aware that your entertainer may need to get changed into their stage costume on arrival
  • Please ensure that all residents are in the performance area ready for the start of the show as your show will start promptly at the agreed time.
  • Under no circumstances should the entertainer be left on their own with residents; there must be a member of staff present at all time.

Vetting and Barring (DBS previously known as CRB checks)
This is not legally required as we are not to be left alone with and not legally covered for supervision of children or vulnerable adults.  Care Home Entertainers are not on the list of regulated activities and therefore requesting a DBS is deemed unlawful.
